Alberta

Lisa Fairweather Director, Land Conservation, Reclamation & Brownfield Redevelopment Land Policy & Programs Branch, Lands Division, Alberta Environment & Protected Areas

Lisa Fairweather joined Alberta Environment and Parks as Brownfield Coordinator in 2016 and was awarded the Brownfielder of the Year award in 2017. She has since become Director of Land Conservation, Reclamation and Brownfield Redevelopment, responsible for remediation and reclamation policy.  She is looking forward to sharing Alberta’s work and learning from her colleagues at this great national event.

British Columbia

Alan McCammon Manager, Remediation Assurance, BC Ministry of Environment and Climate Change

Alan McCammon is member of the management team for British Columbia's Site Remediation Program in the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy. His primary responsibilities focus on regulation of high-risk contaminated sites under the Environmental Management Act.  Alan has extensive experience as a statutory decision maker and regularly contributes to development of supporting policy and guidance for site remediation. Alan is a registered professional geoscientist specializing in contaminant hydrogeology.

Manitoba

Warren Rospad Manager, Contaminated Sites, Hazardous Waste, Petroleum Storage Programs Environment and Climate Change

Warren has been with the Government of Manitoba since 2006 in various roles as an Environment Officer. Since 2014, he has been the Manager of the Contaminated Sites, Hazardous Waste and Petroleum Storage Programs at Manitoba Environment and Climate Change.

Saskatchewan

Brent Zelensky, Government of Saskatchewan Manager, Impacted Sites & Environmental Emergencies Environmental Protection Branch, Ministry of Environment

Brent Zelensky is the Manager of the Impacted Sites and Environmental Emergencies Section of the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment. The section is responsible for regulating impacted sites, hazardous materials and waste dangerous goods storage facilities, environmental emergency response, management of the Non-Uranium Abandoned Mines remediation program, and administration of the Impacted Sites Fund for orphaned impacted sites.  He is a Professional Agrologist with over 20 years of experience in the impacted sites sector.  He started with the ministry in 2012 as a regulator, and previously consulted in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan on up and downstream oil and gas sites, as well as industrial, municipal, and federal impacted sites.

Yukon

Cedric Schilder Contaminated Sites Coordinator Department of Environment | Environmental Protection and Assessment Branch

Cedric Schilder was born and raised in the Yukon and has spent his entire career working in the environmental field. He worked in the private sector for 9 years completing remedial work in the Yukon, N.W.T and northern B.C. before accepting a position with the Yukon Government in 2016, where he is currently employed as the Contaminated Sites Coordinator. Cedric administers the Contaminated Sites Regulation which includes regulatory oversight of remediations, spills response and other contaminated sites projects in Yukon.
