  • HazMat Management Magazine Partners with the CBN: HazMat Management Magazine is the CBN's new media partner. This partnership allows us to offer a free magazine subscription to each CBN member. Members also have the opportunity to provide editorials and content for the Canadian Brownfields Chronicle, a special supplement to the magazine. Read the press release.

  • Canadian Brownfields 2005: Developing Livable Communities: Early Bird registration is available until July 15th and the preliminary program is now online. More information.

  • Events at the Montréal Centre for Excellence in Brownfield Rehabilition (MCEBR): The Centre has launched its summer activities and has opened its doors to the public. The permanent exhibition, housed in the experimental station, features in exclusivity for 2005: the Centre's showcase partners and technological innovations, five interactive terminals showing the different projects sponsored by the Centre, presence of a skilled guide from Tuesday to Saturday keeping visitors well informed on state-of-the-art technologies and tools.

This year, MCEBR, thanks to the support of the City of Montréal, has created an experimental garden featuring the remediation properties of certain plants. The chosen species illustrate different aspects of phytoremediation : accumulation of contaminants, detoxification, reduction of soil erosion. MCEBR website.
