The Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), aboutREMEDIATION.com,
and the Canadian Brownfields Network are pleased to provide, as a part
of FCM's 2006 Sustainable Communities National Conference and Trade
Show, this informative and motivating workshop on brownfields redevelopment
in Canada. The workshop will provide attendees with practical information

Assessment Reports - Qualification Of Submitters (January 4, 2006) Effective immediately, an appropriate Qualified Person (QP) as outlined
under the Ministry Of Environment's Ontario Regulation 153/04, must
sign all environmental assessments that are submitted to TSSA. The practitioners
that are designated as QP's under the regulation are Professional Geoscientists,
Professional Engineers, Professional Agrologists and Chartered Chemists.

Session Brownfields Assume Centre Stage (December 16, 2005)
The Canadian Urban Institute presented, jointly with the Canadian Brownfields
Network (CBN), a Special Roundtable Breakfast where the Honourable John
Gerretsen, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, gave an update

Government
of Canada awards $1.560 million to the
Centre d’excellence de Montréal en réhabilitation de sites
(CEMRS) (November 24, 2005)
The Honourable Jacques Saada, Minister of Canada Economic Development
and Minister responsible for the Francophonie, today announced that
the Centre d’excellence de Montréal en réhabilitation
de sites (CEMRS) will receive $1.560 million to carry out a project
aimed at finding technological solutions for the treatment of groundwater
